- On April 27, 2026, all national securities exchanges were first required to support the publication of new odd lot information to the Securities Information Processors ("SIPs"), which would in turn calculate and publish a consolidated Best Odd Lot Bid and Offer ("BOLO"). Due to a defect in the software release supporting this change, the NYSE Group Equities Exchanges published certain erroneous odd lot quote messages to the SIPs on April 27, 2026 resulting in potential impact to the SIPs' BOLO calculations. There was no observed impact to round lot quotes sent to the SIPs and trading was otherwise unaffected. A list of symbols impacted by the event will be provided upon completion of the NYSE Group Equities Exchanges' investigation.
Pending implementation of a fix for the defect, the NYSE Group Equities Exchanges did not submit odd lot quotes to the SIPs for any symbols for the entire trading day April 28, 2026 to avoid further potential impact to the SIPs' BOLO calculations. The fix for the defect is expected for implementation for start of day April 29, 2026, whereafter the NYSE Group Equities Exchanges will resume publication of odd lot quotes to the SIPs.
